SwipeForMovie's official product page says a signed-in host creates a room and guests join without accounts. Two to eight people swipe the same ordered deck from separate phones, individual likes and passes stay private, and a title matches only when every current participant likes it.
The same page says rooms expire after 24 hours and work in a modern phone browser without a download. That makes it a focused fit for a group that wants one unanimous answer tonight and does not need durable room history.
Cinelect: nominate, rank, and score a shortlist
Cinelect's official page describes a free group movie picker where a room builds a shared watchlist, nominates films for movie night, ranks them, and uses a scoring algorithm to select the winner.
That workflow is useful when the group wants to propose its own shortlist before ranking it. Cinelect's accessible official landing-page copy does not explain its account, privacy, group-size, persistence, or mobile-platform boundaries, so verify those details in the current product rather than assuming them.
Matinee Movie Night: no-signup rooms with preference filters
Matinee's official Movie Night page describes a browser-only room with no signup. A host chooses movies, TV, or a mix, can add genre and streaming preferences, and shares a code. Everyone swipes the same 12-to-20-title deck before Matinee labels the result as a perfect match, strong match, smart compromise, or wildcard.
The page says up to ten people can join, the web tool is free, and rooms expire after 24 hours. It also promotes a separate Matinee app for personalized recommendations and other features.
